1). Song of the Day: ♫ Eleventyseven - Quota ♫
2). Blog Entry: Leaders Corner
- We're a day away from December. December is a month that leaves us finishing up all of our transactions from 2011. It is also has us looking ahead to 2012 and planning our budgets, schedules, visions, etc.
- It may help to think of the year in 12 month segments, with each month having a separate focus (January - Committment, February - Missions, etc.) These topics may be good to work with the theme of your host church as well. You can coordinate these topics with the major events going on during those months as well. (March - Worship with Fine Arts, June - Spending time with God and camp, etc.)
- It would also be good to schedule in monthly appointments with tasks that sometimes are forgotten: leaders/student leaders meetings, doctors/dentist appointments, spring cleaning both for your home and for the church, website/logo remodeling, recruiting campaigns, etc.
3). Ministry of the Day: AIM Missions Trips 2012 - Check out the trips we are providing for Nebraska Youth Ministries students and leaders next year.
4). Link of the Day: Healthy Men - a list of important medical tests for men to take at certain time periods in their lives
5). Quote of the Day: 'When a nation makes too great a distinction between its scholars and its warriors it winds up having its thinking done by cowards and its fighting done by fools' -Thucydides
6). Miscellaneous: Today is National Meth Awareness Day. It is also the birthday of Tracy McElhannon (pastors wife in McCook), a distinction she shares with famous author Mark Twain from 1835. Finally, it is the anniversary of the day that Lucille Ball married Dese Arnaz in 1940.
