Monday - Life Lessons

1). Song of the Day: Ashes Remain - On My Own ♫

2). Blog Entry: Life Lessons
- Recently, I went shopping for a gift. As I was looking through the store, I found the clearance aisle. Clothes were at great prices, 6o to 65% off the original price on the tag. I found one that looked good and took it to the counter. When I went to purchase it, I was surprised to find that there was a store special that day for an additional 15% off all purchases. I got a great deal.
- Everyone around us is looking for a great deal. Jesus gave us a 'great deal' that we didn't deserve, forgiving us and making us new. Don't be afraid to help people see the 'great deal' they could have in Christ!

3). Ministry of the Day: Acts 2 Process - Based on five elements evident in the early church, the Acts 2 process helps churches to assess their current situation and to establish an intentional plan for continued development by focusing on connecting to God and others, growing in discipleship, service, going to share the good news of Jesus with the world, and worshiping God.

4). Link of the Day: Delicious - Delicious helps you find cool stuff and collect it for easy sharing.
Dig into stacks created by the community and then build your own.

5). Quote of the Day: 'The first step toward having spiritual authority over the adversary is having peace in spite of our circumstances.' - Francis Frangipane

6). Miscellaneous: Today is National Thank You Note Day. It is also the birthday of Karen Washburn (youth pastors wife in Fremont), a distinction she shares with Mao Zedong, Chinese military leader from 1893. Finally, it is the anniversary of the day that the British were defeated in the Battle of Trenton during the Revolutionary War in 1776.
