     - Be like scrooge: Imagine your life ten years from now on the path you are heading
     - Become a historian: Review your life, and recall the moments God stepped in
     - Take a vow of silence: Consecrate some time without speech to listen to God

2). Blog Entry - Testimonies
     - The recent report was given to DYD's from one of our National Youth Alive Missionaries, Kent Hulbert: 'Last year a kid in my science class took my Bible and started to read it and was very interested in what it said, so I asked him if I got him a Bible if he would read it and he said yes. The thing is that it was the last day of first semester so I wouldn't have class with him anymore. I did end up getting him the bible the next day though and he was shocked that I acctually did what I said I was going to do. I had no idea what happened with him and the Bible until acouple days ago he said randomly "I never got to thank you" I had no idea what he was talking about so I asked him for what and he responded "for that bible you gave me last year." He's a christian now and is starting to let God change him. I never could have imagined. God blessed me so much by having him tell me that. He didn't have to say anything about it since it was such a long time ago but he did. God just keeps telling me that every little thing makes a big difference and I know for sure now that it does and I'm so glad I took a step of faith to give him that Bible so God could work in him.'

2). Blog Entry: Leaders Corner
Recently, I had the privilege of going to Rochester, MN for a Chi Alpha regional training event called INCITE. Here are some of the leadership lessons I took home with me:
     - Many students come from a semblance of religious affiliation with traditional, liturgical church back home, so using religious practices and symbols can make it a safer place for visitors.
     - Everything we do tends to lean towards the status quo, so we must constantly try to keep ourselves fresh and growing
     - The leader(s) is more important to growth than the student; students are transient, the leader should be foundational and long-term.
     - Leaders don't have more time, they just spend it differently.
     - A disciple is someone who knows what the leader knows, does what the leader does, and is covered in the dust of the leader.

1). Song of the Day: Eclipse - ♫ His Eye is on the Sparrow ♫

2). Blog Entry: Life Lessons
A few months ago, I was on a trip with my brother-in-law and we stayed at a hotel in New Mexico. He pulled out a Triple A card and we got a $10 discount on the room. I was intrigued, so I went online and after some inspection, I signed up for a Triple A account myself.
Earlier this month, I was traveling home from North Central Universities Graduation Ceremony in Minneapolis, MN. I had my two boys with me and we were going through a very rural part of South Dakota at about 9pm at night. Suddenly, a tire burst and we pulled over. After inspecting my vehicle, I found that I couldn't get the spare off because of the unusual placement of the spare on a 'Stow N Go' vehicle. I called Triple A, and after some work with some local mechanics, I was back on the road headed home. Thank God for those men that came to our rescue.
I signed up for Triple A for the discounts, but got blessed by its main purpose for being, vehicle assistance. When we are members, we get the full benefits of all that is offered. Though we may be motivated by one particular piece, we will be blessed by it all. The same is true of God. Everything that He is and has if for our benefit.

2). Blog Entry: Leaders Corner
I have just finished a Chi Alpha Leaders Training called INCITE in Rochester, MN. It was a great time coming together with the other Chi Alpha leaders across the North Central region. A couple of great ideas that I walked away with:
     - We need to prepare our students for college by making sure they know of Chi Alpha. Talk with your Chi Alpha people about coming to visit your youth ministries and explaining their ministry on the local campus. The last months before graduation, bring in ministry professionals from your church who can meet with your graduates individually during portions of the service and help them with their future plans. Plan a trip in the early fall to go with your former students to the Chi Alpha on their local campus and help them get connected.

2). Blog Entry: Life Lessons
I lead worship at my church in Grand Island, NE whenever I'm not on the road at other churches in our district. One particular Sunday, I showed up for practice and we didn't have our drummer. We called him, and found out that he had already told the lady that schedules the worship teams that he was unable to play that morning. The reason was because he had committed to only play twice a month, reserving the other Sundays to come to church together with his family, because he lived over 35 miles away. But upon hearing that we had no one else scheduled, he changed his plans and came in to help. He didn't have to do that, he had every reason to honor his commitment, but he still came in because we needed the help. That impressed me, because I may have just stayed home. What would you do?

Recently, we had our annual District Business meetings at our District Council in Lincoln at Christ's Place church. Literally minutes before the discussion began, I bowed my head for a quick prayer. As I looked down, I noticed that the zipper on my pants was down! Quickly I fixed the situation, prayed, and then went on with the meeting. Glad I bowed my head in prayer!
